AFS Exchange Programs
Open up your world to new possibilities: Life-changing global exchange programs in more than 99 destinations.
Study at a high school in a new country, during an academic year, semester or trimester. Make new friends, learn a new language, live with a global family, and become an active global citizen! It is all about personal growth, cultural exploration, active global citizenship and belonging.

POCE is an on campus experience programme which all Year 13 Pacific Island students in New Zealand can apply for. If successful, students will have the opportunity to fly to Dunedin, live in one of the residential colleges, and attend the University open days on 3 and 4 May.

It's that time of the year again! The Auckland Writers' Festival Trip 2026 is on.
Come join your fellow booklovers on a great day out on 13th May 2026
All year levels are welcome. Bring your friends and come along for a fantastic day of inspiration with writers from all over the world. If you love books or writing, this is the trip for you.
Open Days are a great way to get a feel for university and find out if you’d like to live and study in Dunedin.
You can attend information sessions on your study options, tour our campus and accommodation, and find out more about University services and clubs.

Māori OCE – Sunday 5 July – Thursday 9 July
This programme has been running for over 20 years and provides an amazing, fully paid experience for students of Māori descent to experience campus life at Otago, live in a residential college and meet an array of academics and support staff. If you are considering Otago for study in 2027 and have NCEA Level 2 endorsed with Merit, apply for this fantastic programme.
