About John Paul II High School
Welcome to John Paul II High School, a vibrant and inclusive educational community nestled in the heart of Greymouth on New Zealand's picturesque West Coast.
At JPIIHS, we are proudly co-educational from Year 9 through to our senior students. Our diverse student body is a testament to our commitment to providing equal opportunities for all genders in education and personal development.
With an approximate roll size of just over 200, we offer small class sizes that promote individual attention while fostering strong relationships among peers. Our dedicated staff ensures a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.
As John Paul II High School is an approved State Integrated school, our values are deeply rooted in Catholic teachings which emphasize the importance of faith-based education alongside academic excellence. Our students benefit from a holistic approach to learning that nurtures their character and prepares them for active participation as responsible citizens within society.
Our principal, Renee Hutchinson, is an experienced educator who has been instrumental in shaping the school's ethos. Under her leadership, JPIIHS continues to grow while staying true to its core principles of faith-based education and community involvement.
