We encourage you to reach out to any suitable students or promising candidates and inform them of this opportunity. Space is limited, and early expressions of interest are recommended.
Important Notes:
Students will be required to arrange their own transport and accommodation.
Limited accommodation may be available the night prior (24 Sept) on a first in, first served basis. Please let me know if this is needed, and I will do my best to assist.

There is a Defence Experience Day (DED) focused on Operational Trades at Devonport Naval Base from 23–24 September 2025.
This is a great opportunity for students interested in the operational side of the NZDF to experience life on base and engage with our people and trades.
Trades: Seamanship combat specialist, Communication warfare specialist and more.
Event details:
Dates: 23–24 September 2025
Location: Devonport Naval Base, Auckland
Arrival: By 1600h on Tuesday, 23 September Departure: By 1400h on Wednesday, 24 September
Minimum age: 16 years old (must be 16 day of the event)
Photo ID required. A PT/Sport session may be included, so students should be prepared for light physical activity.
Please come to the careers office if you are interested in attending.
For those who signed up for Year 9 and 10 Sevens. We have had a lot of interest, so we will be having 2 trials to finalise teams.
First trial: 19th of September at Lunchtime on the rugby fields (Term 3, week 10 Friday).
Last trial: 07th of October at Lunchtime on the rugby fields (Term 4, week 1 Tuesday).

The Royal New Zealand Navy will be offering a private tour of HMNZS Taupo when it visits Whangarei (Port Nikau) on Saturday, 11 October 2025, from 0900 – 1200hrs.
We would like to extend this opportunity to your students who are:
16 years or older, and interested in the Navy as a career path.
