empowering whānau

consistently implement programmes across the school which enable a predictable learning pathway for all learners
-
ensure research based, best practice programmes are being implemented for all learners.
The school expects to see:
-
consistent implementation of practice and programmes across the school
-
accelerated progress and continuous improvement in achievement outcomes for all learners.
Strengths
The school can draw from the following strengths to support its goal to evaluate the effectiveness of school-wide initiatives to increase students’ progress and achievement in literacy:
-
a well-developed collaborative culture based on relational trust
-
high levels of leadership and professional capability across the staff
-
effective evaluative practices focussed on continuously improving outcomes for students.
Where to next?
Moving forward, the school will prioritise:
-
targeted professional learning to enhance teacher capability in literacy teaching and learning
-
embedding consistent literacy teaching practice across the school
-
continuing to build collective teacher capacity, inquiry and knowledge building, resulting in equitable and excellent outcomes for learners.
ERO’s role will be to support the school in its evaluation for improvement cycle to improve outcomes for all learners. ERO will support the school in reporting their progress to the community. The next public report on ERO’s website will be a Te Ara Huarau | School Evaluation Report and is due within three years.
