Could you please meet us this Wednesday, 22 July, at interval in G13 for an important meeting. Please send your apologies to either of us if you cannot make it. Mrs. Button and Ms. Laundry
CHS Leos meet in S6 at lunchtime every Wednesday. New members or those interested in learning more about LEOs are always welcome.
LEO stands for Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.
Our CHS Leos are able to get involved in a range of volunteering opportunities across the course of the school year. Some events are held here at school and others are out in our local community. The proceeds raised from LEOs events are donated to local charities or to charities that are important to our LEOs members or to our local community.
Being a LEO gives students valuable opportunities to contribute to the community, gain confidence, gain leadership and team work skills, gain experience in a range of activities that can be recorded as work experience in their C.V. and also gives them an opportunity to make friends with other Leos from Year 9 through to Year 13. They also get to have fun taking part in whichever activities they choose to get involved in.
There is no minimum or maximum expectation on the time Leos members volunteer or on the activities they get involved. If you are interested in learning more, please come along to one of our lunch-time meetings OR visit https://www.lionsclubs.org.nz/about/leo-clubs OR follow our CHS LEOS group on Instagram: @camhighleos
