About Tirohia School
Welcome to Tirohia School, nestled in the heart of Waikato on State Highway 26 within our vibrant suburb also named Tirohia.
Enrolment Process: As a full-primary co-educational state school with an approximate roll size of just over thirty students, we pride ourselves in providing personalized and inclusive education for both our Māori and European/Pākehā communities. With 53% being Māori, Tirohia School is a place where cultural diversity thrives.
Principal: The leadership of the school comes under Angela Blank'ths guidance and dedication to fostering an environment that respects our unique student community make-up, with values deeply rooted in Māori culture. Her vision for Tirohia School is one where every child can flourish.
Values: At the core of our school are principles such as unity, respect, and perseverance—values that resonate with both Pākehā and Māori cultures. We celebrate these values through daily practices like wero (a traditional welcome) to reinforce a sense of belonging for all students.
