Background
The Education Review Office reviews schools that are signatories to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 established under section 534 of the Education and Training Act 2020.
Findings
The school is a signatory to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 established under section 534 of the Education and Training Act 2020. The school has attested that it complies with all aspects of the Code and has completed an annual self review of its implementation of the Code.
At the time of this review there were ten international students and one exchange student attending the school. This includes eight who will be attending for up to two terms. All students are provided with care in private homes.
The school’s self-review process for the international student provision is thorough. Self-review identifies areas to strengthen to ensure ongoing improvement. Comprehensive processes and systems are in place to support students to successfully meet their individual academic and English acquisition goals and balance wellbeing.
International students enjoy the range of opportunities and experiences that domestic students do. These include a wide range of sporting, cultural and social opportunities at the school and in the wider community.
