Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust Scholarship

22 May 2026 – 5 Jun 2026

The Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust Scholarship is now open for applications from year 13 students. If you're going to be starting a degree programme at either Ara Institute of Canterbury, Lincoln University or the University of Canterbury you can apply for this scholarship, which is valued at $30,000 (paid at $10,000 per annum for a total of 3 years). 

The scholarship supports a student who is experiencing severe financial pressure or has personal circumstances which may prevent them from contemplating tertiary study at either Ara Institute of Canterbury, Lincoln University or the University of Canterbury .  The Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust recognise that some young people of enormous potential are prevented from obtaining higher qualifications and hope that by awarding this scholarship, they are able to help in some small way.

Cantamaths Competition

We are looking for 12 eager mathematicians in Year 9 and 12 in Year 10 to represent our school in the annual Cantamath competition.

On the evening of Wednesday, August 19th, teams of four from across Canterbury will go head-to-head in a fast-paced, high-energy problem-solving competition—and we want YOU on our teams!

Quiz Night Fundraiser for Dance

Quiz Night!

Fundraising event for dance competition fees for DanceNZmade and NZCAF Hip Hop in Schools competitions which are both held in August. Monday 27th July at 6pm at Armadillos Halswell. $15 per person. Teams of up to 6. Buy tickets via kindo or email [email protected] to book. Under 18's can attend with parental supervision.

Bookworms Club
