Experience Ara's Welder for a Day on Friday 24 July in Timaru

Experience a day in the life of a welder and get hands-on with a range of welding activities to see if it's the right fit for you. Try Before You Commit: It’s an excellent way to determine if a welding or engineering trade is the right fit for your future before fully enrolling in a course! Rugby Sessions

Taine from South Canterbury Rugby will be running a session on a Friday lunchtime 24th July.

This is for all rugby players. Please bring change of clothes, mouthguard, boots and sneakers.

Get changed and head to the field as quickly as possible at the start of lunch.

Module choices

Monday 20 Jul 2026

Could Brock Tupara-Burgess, Luka Robertson and Theo Gardner please come and see Ms Harvey in her office now to sort out their module choices. Any other students who have gaps or issues with their module choices are to come and see Ms Harvey at the start of period three today.

Full School Assembly

22 Jul 2026 – 24 Jul 2026

We have our first Full School Assembly of Term 3 on Friday.
Process and reminders:
- Go to your LA class at 9.55am for the roll to be taken and a uniform check to be completed before making your way, with your LA teacher, to the Hall
- Seniors; you MUST be wearing your blazer (keeping scrolling)
- School jackets are to be left in your classroom as they are not permitted to be worn during assemblies
- Enter the Hall quickly, quietly and respectfully, in your Homerooms/LA's (look for signage to indicate where you should be seated - LA's please guide students here)
- Remember to show our school values; all three should be on display 100% of the time
- RESPONSIBILITY is our value of the term; it is your responsibility to ensure you make the right choices
