About Mararoa School
Welcome to Mararoa School, a vibrant and inclusive educational community nestled in the heart of Te Anau within Southland's scenic landscape.
At Mararoa School, we pride ourselves on our co-educational approach that fosters an environment where both boys and girls can learn together. Our small school size allows for personalized attention with a roll consisting of approximately 24 students from year one through six – ensuring each child receives the individual care they need to thrive.
As part of New Zealand's state education system, Mararoa School is dedicated to providing quality learning experiences under the guidance and leadership of our principal, Melodie Gage-Witham. She brings over 20 years of experience in primary school teaching from various regions across the country.
Located just a short drive off State Highway 94, Mararoa School is conveniently situated near Te Anau's bustling town center and close to other local amenities. This allows our students easy access not only for their education but also enables them to participate in community activities that enrich the Southland region.
