AUGUST 4. LUNCHTIME IN THE AMPITHEATRE

Did you know that every day, at least 8 Kiwis are diagnosed with blood cancer? Lymphoma, leukemia, and myeloma are cancers that can hit anyone, even your loved ones. We’re looking for brave students to step up and raise money for this cause, even if it means losing a little bit of hair along the way!

Requirements:

• Must fundraise at least $100 to cut your hair
• If you would like to donate your hair, it must be a minimum of 35.5cm and chemical-free.

Held at the University of Waikato Hamilton Campus on Tuesday, 7 July during the school holidays (not a school trip), this event gives interested Year 12/13 students a taster of what they could expect at University in Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Ecology and Biodiversity, and Environmental Chemistry. 

 Students will have the opportunity to: 

• Participate in two hands-on laboratory workshops
• Hear from leading academics
• Ask current students their burning questions through a panel
• Enjoy a free lunch in the halls of residence
• Join an optional campus and accommodation tour.
