About Te Awamutu College
Welcome to Te Awamutu College, a vibrant and inclusive state secondary education institution nestled in the heart of Waikato's picturesque suburb of Te Awamutu.
At this co-educational school serving students from Year 9 through to their final year (Year 15), we are proudly accommodating a diverse student body with an approximate roll size of around 1340 individuals. Our international community is one of our greatest strengths, enriching the learning environment and fostering global understanding.
Our esteemed principal, Tony Membery, leads us in guiding students towards academic excellence while instilling core values that form an integral part of their education journey. These principles include respect for self and others, integrity, responsibility, honesty, perseverance, empathy, community engagement, environmental stewardship, cultural appreciation, inclusivity, teamwork, communication skills, creativity, critical thinking, curiosity, resilience, compassion, gratitude, kindness, humility and lifelong learning ambition.
Te Awamutu College is not just an educational establishment; it's a place where students are prepared for the world beyond school walls. Our location in Te Awamutu provides us with unique opportunities to connect with nature
