About Bluff School
Welcome to Bluff School, nestled in the heart of Southland on Bradshaw Street within our vibrant suburb also named Bluff. As a full-fledged primary school serving students from years one through six, we pride ourselves as an inclusive co-educational institution where diversity is celebrated and every child's background contributes to the rich tapestry that defines us.
Principal Melissa Jackson, along with our dedicated staff of approximately 108 students, upholds a commitment to educational excellence while fostering an environment where Māori and European/Pākehā cultures are both acknowledged and respected. Our student community make-up is diverse: nearly half (45%) identify as Māori—a reflection of our region's heritage, which we embrace wholeheartedly.
The Enrolment Process: Bluff School welcomes new students with open arms. Our enrolment process is straightforward and designed to ensure that every child receives the support they need from day one. Prospective families are invited to attend an informational meeting where our values, curriculum approach, and community spirit can be experienced first-hand.
