Kate Edger Foundation Schools Competition 2026!!

Kia ora, 

We invite all Year 12 and 13 students to enter our annual Kate Edger Foundation Schools Competition 2026. Entries are now open!

As Kate Edger Foundation celebrates 21 years of empowering women in education, this year's theme is “Our Pathways", which can be interpreted in many ways.  

Students are encouraged to explore the people, experiences, challenges, and/or opportunities that have influenced their paths and inspire their futures.  They may draw inspiration from the pathway of Kate Edger and her lasting legacy.  Students can apply in any way (art, written piece, poetry, video, music, film, etc) in which our theme resonates with them.   

We offer prizes as follows:

1st Prize:  $1,000 
2nd Prize: $500 
3rd Prize:  $300 

2 x Highly Commended Awards: $100 each 

Finalists' work will be showcased on our Kate Edger Foundation website, and the overall winner will be invited to our 2026 Kate Edger Awards Ceremony on 30th August.

Casual Vacancy for a Parent Representative

This notice is to inform our school community that a casual vacancy has occurred on our school board for an elected parent representative.

A valued member has stepped down before the end of their term, and the board has formally resolved to fill this vacancy by selection, as provided for in the Education and Training Act 2020.

However, if 10% or more of eligible voters on the school roll request that a by-election be held to fill the vacancy, a by-election will be conducted instead.

Any request for a by-election must be made in writing and received by the Board within 28 days of this notice being published.
