Taki Rua Production - Waenga Waenga is a Taki Rua Production that will be performed at our school in Te Manawa. The production is suitable for students studying Performing Arts, Te Reo Māori, and Māori Performing Arts. The play follows Connie, a fiery and quick-witted young wāhine torn between pursuing her dreams and an unexpected journey to a place she does not belong. Alongside her is Grayson, a junior defence lawyer navigating the complexities of the legal system while striving to uphold his identity and mana motuhake. Waenga offers students a powerful exploration of identity, ambition, and cultural connection through contemporary theatre. |
