About Te One School
Welcome to Te One School, an inclusive educational environment nestled in Waitangi (Chatham Islands) where diversity is celebrated every day.

With approximately 57 dedicated learners in attendance, Te One School offers a close-knit community where personal attention is given to each student's unique needs. Our roll comprises of diverse backgrounds with students from European/Pākehā and Māori descent making up nearly half the school population.
As an esteemed state institution, we pride ourselves on upholding high educational standards while embracing our rich cultural heritage. Our principal, Melanie Sutton, leads with compassionate guidance as she ensures that every student receives a quality education in harmony with the values of Te Whāriki - Māori philosophy for early childhood education.
