About Opoho School
Welcome to Opoho School, a vibrant contributing state primary education institution nestled in the heart of Dunedin's suburb of Opoho within New Zealand's picturesque region of Otago. With an approximate roll size of around 118 students and embracing both local Kiwi children as well as international scholars, our school fosters a diverse learning community.
Our esteemed principal Jared Holden has been instrumental in guiding Opoho School's continuous growth since his appointment. Under Mr. Holden’s leadership and the collective efforts of dedicated staff members who share common values such as respect, integrity, inclusiveness, innovation, teamwork, excellence, service to others, community engagement, environmental stewardship, global awareness, cultural understanding, spirituality, compassion, fairness, honesty, and trustworthiness—we have cultivated an enriching educational environment that prepares our students for success in a rapidly changing world.
The Opoho School community is proud to offer education from Year 1 through the end of primary school. We are committed to providing quality learning experiences and opportunities, ensuring every child receives personalized attention while also encouraging them as they progress towards their next educational milestone in secondary school.
