About Flaxmere College
Welcome to Flaxmere College, an inclusive state secondary educational institution nestled in Henderson Road within our vibrant suburb of Flaxmere in Hawke's Bay.
At the heart of Flaxmere lies a strong sense of community and cultural identity. With approximately 369 students, we pride ourselves on being co-educational while embracing our unique Māori heritage—a significant aspect that shapes who we are as an institution.
Our student body is predominantly made up of young individuals from the local area and surrounding regions. Our community boasts a rich cultural tapestry, with 65% identifying as Māori or Pacific peoples—a reflection of New Zealand's diverse society.
