About Raureka School
Welcome to Raureka School, nestled in the heart of Hastings within Hawke's Bay region, where education is celebrated through a blend of tradition and innovation.
At Raureka School, we are proudly co-educational with an approximate roll size that brings together 294 students from diverse backgrounds. Our community thrives on inclusivity as evidenced by the rich cultural tapestry of our student body: approximately one third identify themselves as European/Pākehā, while a significant portion—34% to be exact—are Māori, reflecting New Zealand's heritage and strengthening connections within local communities.
Under the capable leadership of Principal Keryn Burns, Raureka School continues its journey as one of Hawke's Bay’s State schools. Guided by a set of core values that emphasize respect for all cultures and fostering an environment where every student can flourish.
