About Otane School
Welcome to Otane School, an embodiment of educational excellence nestled in our vibrant suburb of Otane within Hawke's Bay region. As a state-run full primary school that proudly embraces coeducation, we are home to approximately 75 students from diverse backgrounds.
Our community is rich with cultural heritage and pride; about half of our student body identifies as Māori or Pacific peoples. This unique demographic fabric strengthens the ties within Otane School, fostering a learning environment where different cultures are celebrated daily.
Under Principal Tracey Turfrey's leadership, we continue to uphold our core values of respect, inclusivity, and academic rigor. Our enrolment process is straightforward: interested families can apply through the New Zealand Education Authority website or by contacting their local school office directly.
Otane School's commitment extends beyond academics into cultivating well-rounded individuals ready to contribute positively to society. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey of discovery and growth together!
