SISS Boys Hockey
13 May 2026 – 29 May 2026Exciting opportunity!
Nayland College will once again be represented at the SISS Boys Hockey Tournament, to be held in Greymouth during Winter Tournament Week, 31 Aug - 4 Sep 2026.
This is open to all Nayland College boys who play hockey. Please note that this will not affect your club hockey, as it is a separate event and the opportunity to represent your school.
We have an established coach and a manager who are keen to lead and support the team in both organised training sessions and competition.
If you haven't already signed up and are interested in playing, please contact Val in the Sports Office, ASAP, so preparations can get underway.
Tech Shadow Day - years 9 -11
8 Jun 2026 – 12 Jun 2026Shadow Tech offers girls in years 9-11 an opportunity to discover the world of tech, spark their curiosity and explore career pathways during this one-day field trip.
This field trip showcases real roles to suit everyone because we know there’s more to working in tech than just coding! Students will gain hands-on experience to imagine their future career. The trip will include a workplace tour, workshop activities and authentic storytelling of tech careers. There is no cost, just a great experience.

TSS DISC GOLF 2026

Friday 14 August at Branford Park, 9:30am - 2:00pm
This is a 'Have a Go' event as well as a competition, with 1st to 3rd placings in all categories, along with spot prizes.
The day will involve:
- A coaching session with one of Nelson Tasman Disc Golf's coaches
- Putting games for everyone to have a go at
- Long drive demonstrations to see how far discs fly!
- Accuracy games
Cost: $15 per individual entry

Senior Mathematics Competition
20 Jul 2026 – 28 Jul 2026Students doing Level 2 Maths or above. If you are interested in competing in the Senior Mathematics Competition this year, please email Mrs. Gravett ([email protected]) or let you Maths teacher know. This needs to be done by Friday so the papers can be organised. You can compete individually or in a group of 2 or 3.

The competition will take place on Tuesday 28th July (Week 2).
1st 11 Football - Nayland College vs Boys College
20 Jul 2026 – 22 Jul 2026The Nayland College Boys Football Team will be having their second game of the season on Wednesday against Boys College. Come down to the Nayland College Field after school on Wednesday to support the boys. 4pm kick off.
