Info webinar on Radiation Therapy
11 May 2026 – 14 May 2026Students who are interested in finding out about a career in radiation therapy, there will be a Zoom webinar on Tuesday 21 July (week 1 of Term 3) to learn about what is involved. The degree is offered by Otago university but it is taught in Wellington, with just one cohort intake per year. Registrations for the webinar open now - see link on Y12/13 Teams. If other students want the link please email Mrs Catley for it ([email protected]). There is also an opportunity to tour the Radiation Therapy campus on the Wellington Tertiary open day Aug 21 - if going to Wellington for the open day and keen for the tour, register now as numbers will be limited to 60.
The webinar is open to anyone; the campus tour is limited to Y12s/13s who are seriously interested in considering this option.
"Inspiring the Future" medical professions guest session
24 Jun 2026 – 29 Jun 2026Y12s interested in some type of medical career: during study period on Thursday of the first week of Term 3, we will have some guests representing several different medical professions. This will be an optional presentation during study period. The guests will each speak about their career path and there will be opportunity for students to talk with them in small groups. Available for a limited number of students to participate. If interested, email Mrs Catley [email protected]. You must be taking at least 1 science subject.

Radiation Therapy is a specific clinical profession, using radiation to treat patients. It is a specialised 3 year degree, taught by Otago university but in Wellington.
