Students will learn the olympic lifts, beginning with a wooden dowel to learn technique, then progressing to an empty barbell, before eventually adding weight. Students will increase proprioception and an understanding of the musculoskeletal system. Students will gain an understanding of the importance of consistent training for muscular growth, this is analogous to academic achievement |

(SHK) Students will leave the school at 9:10 at the latest to catch the train from Fruitvale Station at 9:17am Data Gathering for Geography 3.5 -Students can see where tourism elements are, applying learning from class -Students observe where busy areas are, and how the space changes from one end to the other -Students can gather qualitative and quantitative data for their assessment |

Rotary Enrichment Reading Program
REP (Rotary Reading Enrichment Programme) is a mentoring programme that brings in volunteers from the community, in coordinated teams, to work 1:1 with these students. It is within these pairings that the magic happens – intergenerational, mutually-enriching relationships are built between people who otherwise might not have crossed paths. REP's goal is to give the students a boost – lift their literacy levels, increase their confidence, and set them on an improved academic path for the rest of their school life. It is a model of purposeful partnership between school and community, where each plays to their strengths. |
