About Manunui School
Welcome to Manunui School, an integral thread in the fabric of Taumarunui’sen heartland nestled on State Highway 4.
As a full-fledged co-educational state school serving approximately 136 students from diverse backgrounds with rich Māori and Pacific heritage, Manunui School is more than just an institution; it's a community. With about 49% of the student body identifying as Māori—a reflection of Taumarunui's own cultural tapestry—and nearly half being European/Pākehā or other Pacific peoples, Manunui School is proud to be at its core.
Under Principal Scott Young's leadership, the school upholds values of respect for all cultures and encourages students from every walk of life to learn together. As a place where young minds are shaped amidst rolling hills in Manawatū-Whanganui region’s historic Taumarunui suburb, our educational journey begins with an inclusive enrolment process that honors each student's unique potential.
