Welcome to Omahu School, nestled in the heart of Hastings within Hawke's Bay—a region steeped in rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
Our school stands proudly at 22 Taihape Road as a beacon for education that respects and embraces its Māori roots. As one of the few full primary co-educational State schools with an approximate roll size of 53 students, Omahu School is intimate yet vibrant.
A significant aspect of our community makeup at approximately 85% Māori reflects a strong connection to indigenous culture and values. We cherish this heritage as we strive for excellence in education, ensuring that it shapes the character and identity of every student.
