Welcome to Te Kura o Te Kao, nestled in the heart of Northland at 6603 Far North Road within our vibrant suburb also named Te Kao.
At this co-educational State school, we pride ourselves on embracing diversity and fostering a sense of belonging for all students. With an approximate roll size of 92 young minds eager to learn, the community is predominantly Māori at 85%, reflective of our rich cultural heritage that permeates every aspect of school life.
Under Principal Hemi Takawe's leadership, Te Kura o Te Kao has become a beacon for education in the region. The principal works tirelessly to ensure students receive an engaging and culturally responsive learning experience that honors their Māori identity while preparing them for success beyond our school gates.
Our composite program offers flexibility, allowing children from early childhood through secondary education levels to progress seamlessly.
