As a state-run co-educational full primary school with an approximate roll size of 15 students, we pride ourselves as a close-knit community where each child's individuality is nurtured and celebrated. Our diverse student body reflects our region’s rich heritage – with around 48% Māori representation alongside the European/Pākehā demographic accounting for about 37%, showcasing a tapestry of cultures that are integral to Waiharara's spirit.
Under the leadership of our dedicated principal, Davene Clarke, we strive towards fostering an inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to thrive academically and personally. Our school ethos centers on values such as respect, responsibility, integrity, resilience, teamwork, and a deep-rooted connection with the land that resonates strongly within our Māori culture.
