About Matauri Bay School
Welcome to Matauri Bay School, a state school proudly situated in the heart of Matauri Bay, Northland.
Under the leadership of Principal Marama Baker, our small community thrives with approximately 46 students enrolled. As one of New Zealand's contributing schools within Whakarara Road and surrounded by stunning natural beauty in a picturesque suburb called Matauri Bay itself, we cherish an environment that fosters learning through connection to the land.
Our school is committed to providing education for all students. We celebrate our diverse student community makeup with 80% of our learners identifying as Māori – a testament to New Zealand's rich indigenous heritage and an integral part of who we are here at Matauri Bay School.
