Welcome to Te Kura Mana Maori o Whangaparaoa, a vibrant state-run composite school nestled in Cape Runaway within the culturally rich Bay of Plenty region. This esteemed institution proudly serves approximately 84 students and is deeply rooted in its commitment to providing an education that honors Māori heritage.
At Te Kura, we are united by a shared belief that our educational journey should reflect the values of manaakitanga (respect), kaitiakitanga (guardianship), and whanaungatanga (kinship). These principles guide us in creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued.
Our community is predominantly Māori, with 90% of our students identifying as such. This concentration enriches the school's character and underscores its focus on nurturing future leaders who are deeply connected to their culture and identity.
