About TKKM o Kaikohe
Welcome to TKKM o Kaikohe, an esteemed composite state school nestled in the heart of Northland at 20 Hongi Street, Kaikohe.
As a co-educational institution that prides itself on inclusivity and diversity, our community is composed predominantly of Māori students (86%), reflecting an authentic representation of New Zealand's rich cultural heritage. This concentration not only shapes the unique character but also strengthens our focus on bicultural education.
With a current roll size close to 241 spirited learners, TKKM o Kaikohe offers tailored educational experiences from early childhood through to Year 13. Our dedicated staff and principal Marea Timoko work tirelessly towards nurturing the individual potential of each student within this supportive environment.
Located in a vibrant suburb, Kaikohe serves as an integral part of our region's educational landscape while providing students with access to cultural experiences that are deeply rooted in local traditions and values. At TKKM o Kaikohe, we believe education extends beyond the classroom walls; it is about embracing one’s identity, celebrating diversity, and fostering lifelong learning.
